Physical Literacy Mentorship
Physical literacy mentorship is designed to build capacity at the school-level. This work aims to normalize physical activity for all members of the school community throughout the entire school day.
Through a Comprehensive School Health approach, Ever Active Schools uses evidence-based practices to work directly with a school community, including staff, students, families, and community partners/organizations. We work to introduce and/or refine policies and practices that enhance physical activity and positive movement experiences throughout the school.
Elements of the mentorship include:
- Professional learning opportunities;
- Administration and teacher/staff engagement
- Resources;
- Student Leadership
- Community engagement; and
- Capacity building.
Physical Literacy Mentorship is possible thanks to the partnership with and grant funding from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities. Our work is also supported by partnerships with the Be Fit for Life Network and Alberta Health Services.
