Alberta Teachers Clinic: From Policy to Practice Navigating Alberta’s Gender Policy Legislation through a Student Wellbeing and Human Rights Approach

Power up your practice and join Ever Active Schools for an engaging online learning experience designed to support teachers in navigating the Government of Alberta’s gender policy legislation with proposed changes to the Education Act. This 2-part clinic aims to provide teachers with practical strategies to meet policy requirements while fostering an inclusive and well-being-centered classroom environment. Participants will benefit from collaborative learning, engage in rich discussions, and explore tools that can be applied directly in their teaching practice. The series will cover research on gender diversity and gender expression, practical implications of educational policy, human rights considerations, and strategies to support the well-being of all students.

The Clinic consists of two sessions (Session 1 & Session 2), each offered on two separate dates (Option A and Option B).
