Ever Active Schools is seeking outstanding teachers representing all grade levels and subject areas from across the province who have a keen interest in Comprehensive School Health. Associated Facilitators will provide a variety of workshops for school and district-based professional development events, teachers’ conventions and specialist council conferences on behalf of Ever Active Schools.

The three-year appointments for these assignments, in most cases, will begin September of the upcoming school year.

Successful candidates working in a rural/remote community can expect to deliver approximately 4-6 workshops per year. Successful candidates working in an urban community can expect to deliver approximately 7-10 workshops per year. Ever Active Schools covers release time and associated expenses and provides an honourarium for workshops delivered.

All successful candidates are required to attend facilitation training sessions annually.

As a courtesy, please advise your superintendent and principal that you will be applying prior to doing so. All applicants must be active or associate members of the ATA and hold an Alberta teaching certificate.

Interested applicants should provide a current resume with available references (including school principal) and a letter of interest, including the following information:

  • Reasons for applying
  • Experience leading professional learning
  • Areas of interest and expertise (for example: assessment, inclusive education, student engagement, physical literacy, staff wellness, school connectedness, social and emotional learning, play, physical education, health)
