Healthy eating is one of the priority areas of comprehensive school health. Although the nutritional requirements of young people vary with age, sex and activity level, all children and youth benefit from a well-balanced approach to eating. Alberta Healthy School Community Wellness Fund

This manual aims to teach children aged 8-12, food preparation and cooking skills, as well as healthy eating and food safety. Includes ready-to-go lesson plans, background information and worksheets. The content supports the Alberta Education Health and Life Skills curriculum and all recipes are aligned with the Alberta Nutrition Guidelines for Children and Youth.

At My Best Grade Level : K-3 & 4-6
PHE Canada
